WILD BOY (bronze level work)

WILDBOY The Journey of Brando Yelavich
By Stephanie Chamberlin

WALT: infer meaning within and beyond the text

Level 1. Literal Meaning (we find evidence in the text)
  • HE fought with his parents about everything.
  • He went through some tough terrain
Level 2. Inferential Meaning (we read between the lines to infer what the writer has implied)
  • When he got home he was a different person
  • He wanted to change his life
Level 3. Applied Meaning (we decide what the author might think or may want us to think from what has been said-we make a link to the text from our own experiences)
  • When brando was alone he sorted his life out
  • Brando is very tought I would be to scared to do what he did

This week we have been reading a book about Brando Yelavich  how he traveled around New Zealand.

  1. Bonjour Madisyn!
Its Jennae here, I am a year seven at Karoro School. I like your work on the information you gave from the text. I also liked the bright colours you used it makes it show up more. With you work you need to make sure it doesn't spread across the page like this. To fix this up you can just enter through the sentencesfor it to go on a new line.
