The Mines Afire
Today we got some questions to answer before we read the book called The Mines Afire. First we had to make a google drawing and write down the questions. This book is about the Brunner Mine Disaster. There were at least 62 people that died and none of them survived. We are going to the Brunner Mine Site next week.

Visual Mihi
Last week we had to make a visual mihi and then make a google slide about it. I found this activity not that easy because I didn't know what most of the things were but now I do! Here is my visual mihi introducing myself!
What has been in the news this week?
A humpback whale was found in the jungle. It was found in a jungle dead a long way from the Ocean in a swamp. It weighed 10 tonne.
Wildlife experts are searching for clues on how this dead humpback whale got so far inland. Some ideas are that it got washed up there in a storm.
I think it got all the way there cause it was already dead and it got washed up the river?

What has been in the News this Week?
Auckland’s transport authority have been removing Lime scooters from the city because the brakes on the scooters would just lock up for no reason and there were serious accident. They are making their final decision today.
I think that the scooters should fix the problem then let people use them because they are cheap and fun.
