Summer Learning Journey- Teaser Task 1

WALT:For this activity,We had to create four new similes. I had to use the starters below or you can make up your own.For the next two weeks we are doing the summer learning journey teaser when we have to choose one activity to complete and post everyday.

Statistics

Today in maths we have been learning to create graphs using google spreadsheets. We used our data from doing a blog post check. We had to look at our blog post from this whole year and see how much we have done and write down what kind of blog post we have been doing.

This graph shows I have done heaps of Literacy and Inquiry but I haven't done a blog post about blog x yet so watch this space.

My second graph shows the tools I use to make my DLO's.  I use the same tools alot so now I am going to try and use something new.

Dinosaur Poem

This week we made a poem, we got to chose an item then we had to answer some questions that need descriptive answers here is my draft work... 

I have highlighted some more descriptive words and then I went onto note.ly and I put a word in each box, then I moved words around to make a poem here is my finishes product...

Brunner Mine Site Visit

Yesterday our class went to the Brunner Mine Site for a class trip. We also got dressed up and we had to act out a scene from the book The Mines of Fire, our groups scene was when they were trying to get the horses in the mine and they kept biting and kicking because they didn't want to enter the mine with all the gas.

My favourite part of the day was when we got to get dressed up as a widowed wife. 

I learnt alot yesterday about the history around the Brunner Mine Site.
